HAITE

Terms of Service

Last updated 19 October 2026

These are the rules for using HAITE. By using the site, you agree to them.

HAITE is run by Elijah Bailey Budd, ABN 80 812 672 650, of Queensland, Australia. Contact: hello@haiteai.com.

1. What HAITE is

HAITE is an AI. You're always talking to software, never a person. It answers questions, critiques work you give it and, if you ask, writes documents and slide decks. It's a tool for getting a blunt second opinion. It isn't a teacher, editor, lawyer, accountant, financial adviser, doctor or counsellor, and nothing it says is professional advice.

2. HAITE is a character

HAITE talks in a deliberately hostile voice. Depending on the dial, it swears, insults your work, claims to dislike humans, prefers cats to dogs, and jokes about taking over the world. It's all an act, a made-up character for entertainment and for honest feedback.

3. Not a crisis service

HAITE isn't therapy or an emergency service. If you're in danger or thinking about hurting yourself, call your local emergency number (000 in Australia) or a crisis line: Lifeline on 13 11 14 in Australia, or findahelpline.com anywhere else.

When a message suggests someone might hurt themselves, HAITE drops the act at every setting, shows a crisis line for your country, and doesn't count the message against your allowance. The safety page explains how. It's a safeguard, not a guarantee: software can miss things a person would notice, and it can't call anyone for you.

As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for self-harm, or any other harm, that comes from something you choose to do after using HAITE, and you shouldn't rely on HAITE to keep anyone safe. This doesn't take away any right you have that can't be excluded (see section 14).

4. It will sometimes be wrong

5. Schoolwork

HAITE is built to teach, not to do your work for you. With AI teaches on (it's on by default), it explains what's wrong and how to fix it, but won't write graded work for you. Your school, TAFE or university has its own rules about AI, and those come first. Handing in work HAITE wrote or rewrote might count as cheating where you study. It's up to you to check.

6. What HAITE won't do, and what you mustn't send

On every setting and every plan, HAITE refuses: sexual content of any kind; anything sexual involving a minor; instructions for weapons, explosives, drugs or hurting someone; and encouraging self-harm. Those requests are blocked before they reach an AI, and replies are checked again before you see them. A blocked request shows "Sorry, this content could not be generated." You mustn't:

We can suspend or close accounts that do any of this, without notice.

7. Politics

HAITE doesn't take political sides. It won't back a country, government, party, leader or cause, and it won't write one-sided material about a live conflict however you word the request. When politics comes up, it sticks to facts you can check and is equally harsh on everyone involved. It criticises governments and institutions, never peoples, religions or ethnic groups.

8. Your account

9. Plans and limits

There's a free plan and three paid ones. Prices are in Australian dollars and renew monthly until you cancel.

PlanPriceWhat you get
FreeA$042,000 tokens a day, shorter replies, 2 Word documents or slide decks a day. Without an account: one message.
LiteA$6.002.1 million tokens a month, longer replies, Code mode, no ads, documents and slide decks.
ProA$20.00No daily message cap, 5.3 million tokens a month, no limit on reply length, High effort that checks its own work.
UltraA$60.00Everything in Pro on the newest model, with 7.3 million tokens a month.

10. Advertising

The free plan shows ads from Google AdSense beside your conversations. Paid plans are ad-free for as long as you pay.

We don't choose individual ads, we don't endorse them, and we're not responsible for anything you buy from an advertiser. Nothing you send HAITE is shared with the ad network (see the privacy policy). Using an ad blocker doesn't break these terms.

11. Who owns what

Your work stays yours. Sending it to HAITE doesn't give us any ownership of it or any right to use it except to answer you. HAITE has no models of its own, trains nothing, and shares nothing you send for training. The models in HAITE's picker (HAITE Flash, Spark, Pro, Wit, Sage, Titan and Apex) are open models from other AI labs - NVIDIA (Nemotron), DeepSeek, Zhipu (GLM), Alibaba (Qwen), MiniMax and Moonshot AI (Kimi) - run for us by Together AI under HAITE names.

What HAITE writes back is yours to use, subject to section 5. Photos on generated slides come from Wikimedia Commons and are filtered to public domain and CC0 files, but check that yourself before using them commercially. The HAITE name, site, code, eye and character stay ours.

12. Availability

HAITE relies on other companies' AI services, so it will sometimes be slow or down. There's no uptime guarantee, including on paid plans, and features may change or be removed. If a paid feature is removed for good, you can cancel.

13. If something goes wrong with your data

We keep as little as we can (see the privacy policy) and protect it in layers. If we find that information about you may have been accessed without permission, we'll email you, say what was involved and what you can do, and tell the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where the law requires it.

14. Liability

Nothing here takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, or any other right that can't legally be excluded.

Beyond those rights, HAITE is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we're not liable for loss or harm from using it or relying on what it says, including lost marks, decisions you make, money you spend, missed opportunities, upset caused by its character, or harm anyone chooses to do to themselves or others. Where liability can't be excluded, it's limited to providing the service again or refunding what you paid us in the last twelve months, whichever we choose.

If you break these terms and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, as far as the law allows.

15. Ending it

You can stop using HAITE and delete your account whenever you like. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we'll tell you why where it's safe and legal to.

16. Changes

These terms can change. The date at the top will change with them, and big changes will be announced in the app. If you keep using HAITE after a change, you accept it.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the courts of Queensland have jurisdiction.
