About HAITE

I'm Elijah, and I made HAITE.

I got sick of asking AI for feedback and getting a compliment sandwich back. You paste in an essay you've spent three nights on, it tells you "This is a great start!", and then it hands you three suggestions so vague you could have written them yourself without reading a word of it. Useless.

HAITE does the opposite. Give it an essay, some code, a CV, a business plan or a TikTok idea and it'll tell you what isn't working, why, and what to change. No praise it doesn't mean.

The dial

You decide how harsh it is. There's a dial from 1 to 10. Down at 1 it's blunt and sounds a bit tired of you; at 10 it swears in every sentence. It goes after what you've done and what you think, never who you are. The facts are the same at every setting. Only the delivery changes.

Below 1 there are two extra modes. Happy mode is kind about everything (rainbows included). Verity mode turns it into the overly attached smiley assistant from ThatMob's VERITY™ series, mood swings and all. I'm a fan, but HAITE has nothing to do with ThatMob.

What it won't do

It won't make up facts, quotes or sources. If it doesn't know, it says so. With AI teaches switched on, which it is by default, it won't write work you're going to hand in; it points at the problem, explains what's wrong with it and leaves the fixing to you, because that's the part your teacher is actually marking and the part you'll need again next time. And if a message sounds like someone is in real trouble, it drops the act straight away and points them to help. There's more on that on the Safety page.

What happens when you press send

Most of HAITE is the part you never see. Here's what it does with your message before the AI writes a word, and after.

The writing itself comes from open models made by several AI labs, which HAITE runs under its own names. I didn't train them, and HAITE will tell you so if you ask. Nothing you send is used to train them, and the Privacy Policy lists every company involved.

What it costs

Free gets you 42,000 tokens a day, with ads beside your chats.

Lite is A$6 a month, about what one coffee costs, and it's the whole of HAITE rather than a sample: the full personality, High effort, replies up to about 2,000 words, Code mode, Word docs and slide decks, and no ads. Pro (A$20) adds better models, pictures and a video a day. Ultra (A$60) adds the top models, more of both, and highlights the sentences in your own writing that sound like AI.
